“Returning" is a painting about our connection to the natural world. About our stardust body, about loss of ego and reintegration. A piece meant to inspire and comfort, to remind that death is fruitful as life, that we borrow everything we are and experience, and that one day we will be returned (to the cosmic library, perhaps).

At Home In The Bay, Terri Lemire-Wilson.
« At Home In The Hay » is Terri’s reaction to memories of her husband’s family farmhouse, now abandoned, and sitting hours away from pretty much anywhere. Visits to the house (which has now been taken over by racoons) are always bittersweet and lonely feeling, but also full of warm and interesting stories of events that took place there.

We are instinct-driven beings, repressing parts of ourselves to fit our busy modern life roles. When dreaming, our minds are allowed to explore these instincts, in ways that are sometimes scary, exciting, pleasurable, or nightmarish. This painting is part of her "Dream-bodies" series, a collection of paintings that examine the connection between our unconscious selves and the natural world. "Hive Mind" is a glimpse of the artist's creative center, and the buzzing, squirming ideas within.
