The phonetics of "Soie Lait" in French means "be ugly". A perfect opposition to the expression "Be beautiful and shut up" according to founder and creator Pauline Ebel, Soie Lait thrives to deconstruct beauty standards, favouring instead the reclaiming of one's own personal standards and expression. Ebel creates her pieces with her childhood in mind, spent on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea.
