Nippon Kodo's devotion to making the finest incense follows a long and honorable tradition that began over 400 years ago and can be traced back to Juemon Takai, better known as Koju, a master craftsman in the art of incense and the main supplier of precious, rare and exquisite fragrances to the Emperor of Japan and his court.
